Good Morning KG1 A











Math activity (20 Minutes)

Aluminum Foil Sculptures 

Beginning: 
Give your child a piece of aluminium foil to investigate. 

Middle:

  • Comment on the different shapes the foil is taking on. Use words like twist, form, bend, and squeeze to describe what your child is doing.
  • Introduce the word sculptures as an object that is made by folding and moulding an item into a specific shape. 
  • Use sentences such as: “I turned mine into a ball” , “You can squish it smaller, bigger.” “I made a circle.” “My ball is the same size as yours.” .. etc. 

End: 
Give your child a notice of 5 minutes to end the activity. 

Literacy (5 Minutes)

Play a game of I spy letters, you may place letters (written on a piece of paper- upper or lowercase) around a certain area in the house and say, “I spy letter ... “ .  

Fine motor skills (5 minutes) 

Give your child old papers that are no longer needed and tell them to rip those papers into small tiny pieces.





Thought of the day...
We will finish the day off with some movement. Today, it will be relaxation movements just like the morning!
