Lesson 15
Hello Boys and Girls!
Are you ready for our 15th lesson online? Me too!
You need to follow these 2 steps:
Step 1: Enjoy the activity, Fun with Gross Motor Skills.
Step 2: Do the Fitness
Fun Challenge.
Please follow the lesson plan below:
A. Lesson objectives:
●
Gross
motor skills involve using your whole body, and are essential for a child's
physical and neurological development. Mastering gross motor skills allows
children to develop the muscles they require to perform everyday functions
(e.g. walking, running, dressing themselves) and also helps them to develop
connections between both hemispheres of the brain, as they have to learn to
coordinate both sides of the body at the same time.
●
Have
fun and let off steam.
B. Equipment: For ‘Fun with
Gross Motor Skills’
While kids can follow this video without the lines on the floor,
they will likely have more fun and engage with the exercises for longer with
the lines. I use masking/painter's tape on the floor inside because it's easy
to remove afterwards. You could also take them outside and use chalk to draw up
some lines.
For “Fitness Fun Challenge"
●
Balled
up socks / or paper ball
●
Basket
C. How
to play:
Roll the dice and perform the
exercises by clicking the icons on each box. You can play it by yourself or
with your family member.
You can click on the left icon to
have the instructions read to you.
If you are unable to perform the activity, feel free to skip
and choose a different one.

partner 1 will run to the designated bottle flip area. Once partner 1 gets to
the designated area, he/she gets 3 chances to flip the bottle and make it land
right side up. If partner 1 doesn’t complete the bottle flip in 3 attempts,
he/she will run back and tag their partner and partner 2 will repeat. Make it a
goal to complete 5 bottle flips as a team.
Feel free to give me some feedback. Let me know what you
