Hello MLS KIDS!
Some of you have sent me pictures and videos of your work from our lesson with ‘Cherry, Beet and Avocado’. 
Way to go for being creative!


LESSON :  MELODY/PITCH
  1. LESSON  OBJECTIVES : 
                At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
  1. Listen to the song “ WISH UPON A STAR”
  2. Develop, alone and with others, in-tune and expressive singing 
  3. Sing and perform the song ” WISH UPON A STAR”


GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Click the link provided on each activity, watch the video and follow along with it.
  2. You can do this lesson anytime during this week and repeat the video until you learn the given song.
  3. You can ask your siblings or parents to sing and dance with you.


II. LESSON PROPER
It’s BRAIN SMART SONG time! 


MUSIC MUSIC
Use wooden spoons, drum sticks or pencils to tap along with the song while you move.

We are ready to learn now. 
This week our music is all about the Melody/Pitch

PREPARATION FOR STUDYING A SONG.
  1. Do the quick fix to ready your voice.
  2. Listen to the music and its melody.
  3. Review the movement that we’ve learned before.
  4. Create your own movement or interpretation.

  1. How do you feel when you hear this song?
  2. If you had one wish what would it be and why?
  3. Send videos of you performing this song or sharing your wish with me to performing.arts@mls.com.sa  
I know you will do your very best. You can repeat this video until you master the song “ Wish Upon A Star”.

LESSON NO. 1

KG1A Sunday, March 22-26

Good day  everyone!




LESSON :  RHYTHMS

I.           LESSON  OBJECTIVES :

At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:

1.     Follow the RHYTHMS  using fruit name syllables. E.g. cherry, and beets.
2.   Tap and clap the activities presented on the video
3.   Sing the song “sweet beets”


II. LESSON PROPER
It’s BRAIN SMART SONG time! It’s BRAIN SMART SONG time! So move your body while I move mine. Move your hands. Move your feet. Stand up, sit down and row the boat.




I feel that we are all energized by now and to get the excitement level down, let's BREATHE. Remember to breathe three times SLOWLY so that all the oxygen can go into your brains and they are ready to learn!








We are ready to learn now.

We will call our activity “CALL AND RESPONSE” which means one person will say something and you will repeat after him/her.



Hurray way to go.  I hope you did your best in following the fruit rhythms. You can repeat the video until you get the tempo of the given activity. I will post another lesson video next week.
